# 🎬 Quick Video Recording Guide

**Goal**: Record a 3-4 minute demo video by November 30, 2025

## ⚡ Fastest Path (30 minutes total)

### **Step 1: Setup** (5 minutes)

1. **Open HERMES**: https://huggingface.co/spaces/aamanlamba/hermes-astrology
2. **Hard refresh**: Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows)
3. **Choose recording tool**:
   - **Easiest**: Loom (https://www.loom.com/) - records & uploads automatically
   - **Mac**: QuickTime (built-in)
   - **Windows**: Xbox Game Bar (Win+G) or Windows Video Editor
   - **Advanced**: OBS Studio (https://obsproject.com/)

### **Step 2: Practice Run** (10 minutes)

Run through this sequence once without recording:

1. **Chart Analysis Tab**
   - Venus → Aries → 8.5° → Day Chart → Click "Assess Dignity"
   - Result shows: Detriment (-5), Debilitated

2. **Time Lords Tab**
   - Annual Profections
   - Birth: 1990-01-15, Age: 35 → Calculate
   - Result shows: 12th house

3. **Learning Center Tab**
   - Select: Zodiacal Releasing
   - Click: "Teach Me This Technique"
   - Show AI explanation

4. **About Tab**
   - Scroll to MCP Server Features
   - Show 6 serverless functions

### **Step 3: Record** (10 minutes)

**Record with or without voiceover - your choice!**

**With voiceover** (recommended):
- Read from [DEMO_VIDEO_SCRIPT.md](DEMO_VIDEO_SCRIPT.md)
- Speak slowly and clearly
- Don't worry about perfection

**Without voiceover** (silent):
- Record silently
- Add text overlays later in editing
- Or submit silent with captions

**Start recording and follow your practice sequence!**

### **Step 4: Upload** (5 minutes)

**Option A: Loom** (easiest)
- Already uploaded automatically!
- Copy shareable link

**Option B: YouTube**
1. Go to youtube.com
2. Click camera icon → "Upload video"
3. Upload your MP4 file
4. Set to "Unlisted"
5. Title: "HERMES - MCP Birthday Hackathon Demo"
6. Copy link

**Option C: Google Drive**
1. Upload to Google Drive
2. Right-click → Share → "Anyone with link"
3. Copy link

## 🎯 What to Show (Minimum)

You only need to show **2-3 features** to have a valid submission:

### **Essential** (Pick 2):
1. ✅ Essential Dignities (Venus in Aries example)
2. ✅ Annual Profections (Age 35 example)
3. ✅ AI Teaching Mode (any technique)

### **Bonus** (Optional):
- MCP Architecture (About tab)
- Other calculators
- External integrations

## 📱 Recording Shortcuts

### **Mac** (QuickTime):

If you want to keep it super simple:

- **Intro**: 10 seconds

**Total**: ~2:10 minutes (well under 4-minute limit)

## 🚫 Common Mistakes to Avoid

1. ❌ **Going over 4 minutes** → Keep it concise!
2. ❌ **Showing errors** → Test everything first
3. ❌ **Speaking too fast** → Slow down
4. ❌ **Tiny text** → Zoom browser to 110-125%
5. ❌ **Forgetting to mention MCP** → Say "Model Context Protocol" at least once

**If you're short on time**, this 2-minute version works:

1. **Show HERMES interface** (5 sec)
2. **Click Chart Analysis → Calculate Venus in Aries** (30 sec)
3. **Show result** (15 sec)
4. **Click About → Show MCP section** (30 sec)
5. **Click Learning Center → Show AI teaching** (30 sec)
6. **Say closing** (10 sec)

**Done!** That's a complete submission.
