UMUTeam — NLP Research Group

We are the UMUTeam, a research group from the University of Murcia (Spain) focused on Natural Language Processing (NLP) for Spanish, with special emphasis on:

• Hate speech and abusive language detection
• Multimodal analysis (text + audio)
• Emotion and sentiment analysis
• Political ideology and misinformation
• Author profiling
• Ontology-driven NLP and knowledge integration
• Evaluation of LLMs and linguistic features

Our goal is to develop high-quality Spanish NLP resources, including datasets, models, evaluation frameworks, and open-source tools for the community.
