“Too Much Traffic" error on dalle-mini Space — hoping to preserve this classic model!
Hi! I hope you’re doing well.
I wanted to report an issue with the dalle-mini Space hosted here. I’ve been using this particular instance for a long time because it preserves the original, uncanny, distorted look of early AI image models — something that newer models just don’t replicate. It’s a really special historical snapshot of early AI.
Lately, the Space always shows:
"Too much traffic, please try again."
Even when usage is extremely low, and even though the Space is marked as a static application. It seems like something internal may have broken (possibly the queue, backend inference endpoint, or model spin-up), rather than actual high traffic.
If you ever get a moment to check on this Space or restart / rebuild it, I’d really appreciate it. These early AI models have a unique aesthetic and historical value that I’d love to see preserved.
